I'm Gettin' Old...

So Cairi turned two on Wednesday and with number 3 on the way it can sure make a girl feel old. I just can't believe I have a 2 year old! I remember wishing and praying that the time would go by faster before Cai got here. Well, now that she's here it feels like we've been on fast forward ever since and I'm already picturing her wedding day, grandkids, etc. I know all you moms out there feel this way, but shoot, WHERE DOES THE TIME GO? Both of our kids have been the greatest blessings in my life and I know that there will never be a day that I feel differently. Cairi has already given me so much in the short time that she's been here and even though I know we are bound to have our challenges, as all parents and their children do, I hope she always knows how much I love her and how proud of her I am. It's a really great feeling to know you ALWAYS have someone in your corner, no matter what. For me that was my mom, and I'm really excited to be that person for my children. Happy Birthday Cairi! We love you!!
A Few Things About Cai Right Now

Cairi is already a GREAT big sister. She kisses Gabe when he's crying, gives him his bottle, tries to wake him up when he's sleeping because she misses him, and will do just about anything to help mommy take care of him.

She LOVES animals. If it's got an animal on it Cairi will want to tell you what it is and what noise it makes.

She likes to play mommy and got her first baby doll for her birthday. She also loves to make forts and "Hi" or hide.

She's a mommy's girl and still likes to sleep in mommy and daddy's bed.

She loves to read!! I'm so excited she likes to read because I also love to read and I can't wait til we can read chapter books together.

She is one little girly girl. Her must haves are lipstick and shoes -hers, mine, grandma's, it doesn't matter who's they are she wants em. Don't be mistaken though, this girly girl can rough it too! We definitely have a future fisher on our hands!

A couple of her favorite phrases are:
-"Try! Try!" when she wants you to do something.
-"Stuck!" when she wants you to move her, open a door for her, take her shoes off, take her seatbelt off.    Basically I'm amazed at all the situations that "stuck" can be applied to lol.

Something that's really fun is she's learned to say I love you. But in Cai translation you just say "you". It's pretty cool when your kids learn to say I love you back.

September 14th 2008 -Right after I got all hooked up and in my room.
September 15th 2008 8:58 am. Cairi was born a healthy 8 lbs. 8oz.
Cutest new daddy ever!!!
