Catch Up

Phew! It's been a while since I've made time for posting. It seems like I have spurts, I'll do a lot of posts really consistently and then... poof, life gets busy right? We haven't had a ton going on but I do have a few things to write about.

First off just some updates on the kids:

Gabe is 4 months old!!! Crazy. I could talk forever about how my kids are growing up too fast and all that jazz but I'll keep it short and sweet. 4 MONTHS OLD! Ahhh!! I gotta get a handle on these kids and make them slow down. Gabe is the ultimate jabber jaw. He learns from Cairi and I can tell we will never be lacking conversation in our house between the two. He used to be my little laid back, content-to-chill guy, but the older he gets the more he wants to be held and feel like a part of it all. He has an appointment later this week so I'll be posting his new measurements. Basically, he's just one of the happiest kids I know and we love him so much! It's great to see him and Cairi bonding already. I can't wait for all the memories they're going to be able to create together.

Gabe with his Auntie Lauren.
So cute when he falls asleep like this!

Cairi Updates:

So Cairi has been talking a lot more. She's learning a lot of new words. No coherent sentences yet, but so much fun nonetheless. Some of her favorite words are:
Jew -for juice (everything is juice whether it be water or milk lol)
Ga -for gone
Bah -for bye bye
Boon -for spoon
Mou -for mouse (Micky Mouse is her fave)

She's also into "putting things away" right now. She has this little grocery cart that she likes to put everything in, then she'll dump it out, and re-stock it. Very cute. She helps put diapers in the garbage and she likes to dry her own hands off when she's done washing them. I feel like she's 5 years old but she's only 18 months. Something Chris and I love is how cuddly she is lately. She used to be very cuddly and then she experimented with being independent for a little while. Now, she's back to cuddly. She'll fall asleep in new places, like your lap or on the floor. Almost anywhere if she's tired enough and I love taking pictures of the places she likes to lay down. It's so neat to see what a strong little girl she is already. I know she's going to be able to take care of herself and that will help someday when I have to share her with the world.

Asleep in grandma's lap.
Watching a movie with mommy.
Cairi loves to lay on Chris and watch T.V.

Last but not least.

Chris and I got a new nephew this week!! Kyson Andrews. We're thrilled for Cairi and Gabe to have a new cousin and I love babies so this was very exciting. Congrats to Tif and Jon for making such a cute little man! Tif was a trooper for her first ever C-Section and her biggest baby yet. We love you guys!!

Grandpa and Grandma Swenson, big brother Jayden, big sister Cassidy, and baby Kyson.
Aw shucks, this made me just a little baby hungry. Or a lot lol!!
