On Sunday we had dinner at my in-laws and my sister-in-law and I got talking about the babies (she's pregnant too, yay!) and she told me that she read in the newspaper that this flu season they won't be letting any children under the age of 14 in the women's centers. I called Mckay-Dee Hospital yesterday to find out if this was true and unfortunately it is.
This basically means NO Cairi at the hospital, AT ALL. She won't be able to meet Gabe until we bring him home 4 days later. And that means 4 days without being able to see my daughter. I've never been away from her longer than a day. Seriously, I'm very depressed about it.
I'm not a complainer usually, and I know the hospital is taking these precautions to protect the newborns and recovering mommies, but man, did I mention I'm bummed?!?
Sorry guys... I just can't believe that she won't be able to be there for such a momentous occassion.

Oh bummer! I'm sad for you...It is hard. We are so much alike! I always have a hard time even just leaving them for a few hours...not because I don't trust others, but because I just plain miss them! But try your hardest to not worry and enjoy the new baby. Cairi is in great hands! I actually committed to go on a business trip with Luke to San Fran and I will be leaving both my babies for 2 days! I'm totally freaking out, what was I thinking...I've left Jack before but he was 13 months, Reese she will only be 2 months. I'm nuts!
I don't blame you for being so sad. It was so fun to have Jayden come in the room after Cassidy was born. I'm sure when I have the baby that my kids won't be able to come either. I was really looking forward to this year since my kids are a little older and they understand a little bit better that they are going to have a new baby brother or sister. So Sad! Look at the bright side though, Cairi will be SO excited to see you after those 4 days and you will get a little time alone with Gabe. Once you are home and have two your going to be a busy mom!
K did I say this year? I really hope I don't have the baby this year, that wouldn't be good! Gotta love early mornings. Anyways, I meant next year!lol..
Oh that would be really hard. I'm sorry. That isn't fair. Even though she won't be there, Cairi will be with your family, safe and taken care of until you can come home. She's going to be the sweetest big sister. I'm so excited for you. Also, I'm glad someone else our age is about to have two kids. Now I have someone to talk to, lol. Good luck. I hope everything goes wonderful.
Darn SWINE FLU! :(
That sucks way bad! I'm sorry :( But i guess its better than having one of your children getting the swine flu :( Can you have visitors though?!
Oh my gosh, I seriously got so sad reading this!! I hate that! I mean I understand why they are doing it, but...it sucks!! :( I'm sorry!! I wish you the best of luck with everything!!
